Purchase your practice permit test and a code will be sent to you. You will use the code to access your practice quiz. You may retake it as many times as you like.
Note: this is ONLY for online practice. Please use our mobile app to access behind the wheel training.
How do I get started?
Book a permit tutor session and you will be sent a code to take a practice test (code normally takes 24 to 48 hours to be sent). After you receive the code you will open the practice test and answer the questions (you can take the practice quiz game over and over again until you feel comfortable with your knowledge). Once done, go to the Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) office and secure your learner's permit. After securing your learner's permit download the Star Driver APP and sign up. Once signup, then you can start booking road practice test. Whenever you book a road practice test a certified driving school instructor will pick you up and train you. You can keep booking sessions until you are comfortable with driving on the road then you will need to go to the Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) to secure your driver's license.

What are the biggest worries or hesitations people have before signing up for driving lessons?
Many potential students wonder: What makes your driving school's approach to teaching different from other schools, especially with your mobile app. They all used it when they get to understand how we operate.
Do I need to be approved before I can use the application?
Yes, as a trainer, the admin team has to review your profile to determine if you are the best fit for our platform. As a student, no need to be verified but you need to make sure you follow our policy or else the admin can block you.
What are the driving package that is offered?
1. Beginner- this is for students who have never been around a car steering wheel and have no driving experience. The beginner's session last for 2 hours.
2. Intermediate- this is for students who have driven a vehicle once or twice but does not know the true essential skills of driving. The intermediate session last for 4 hours.
3. Advanced- this is for students that knows how to drive but need more practice. The advanced session last for 6 hours.
Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) Support- after completing the advanced session you can book a vehicle and use it to take your finals at the department of motor vehicle (dmv), if you pass your final road test then your driver's license will be awarded to you by the department of motor vehicle (dmv). The DMV support session last for 3 hours.
Before booking the DMV support session consult with the admin team so that we can help with the DMV appointment scheduling.
Can I get my driver's License after completing all my driving lessons?
Yes, after the successful completion of the driving course; we will provide a vehicle to the student to use for their final road test at the department of motor vehicle (DMV) in which the driver's license will be granted if they passed the final road test.
NOTE: we do not provide driver's license to anyone, we only provide driving lessons and a vehicle to use for the driving test.
At Star Driver we provide a comprehensive driving course with the use of technology integration via our mobile app, designed for 21st-century learners.
What kind of support do you offer students beyond just the driving lessons?
All Star Driver students have 24-hour chat support access within the app. Support phone number is also available in the app. Admin team is always open to students, and we treat every student as if they are the only student we have.
How does the mobile app works for students/trainee?
After downloading the mobile app you will be asked to sign up as a trainee. After creating an account the admin team will be notified. You will have to wait until the admin team grant you permission to access the platform (usually takes 24 hours). After the admin grant you access you can chat with the admin team within the app. We only take phone calls if you requested within the app. If you need to book a driving lesson within the app there is a burgundy plus button in the top right corner of the home screen. After press the button it will ask you for you current location, date, time and the duration of the lesson. After continuing the app will then search for a trainer, you will need to add your card information and confirm payment before the trainer arrives. At this point you can communicate with the trainer within the app. You can cancel the session before the trainer arrives. If you cancel after 5 minutes of book then you will be charged still. When the session is completed you will be prompted to give the trainer a tip and also review and comment on the lesson. If student fail a session they are required to retake it. If they pass they move on to the next step. When all your required sessions are completed you'll be able to download your completion certificate.
How does the mobile app works for trainer/instructor?
Trainer are required to be trained properly before applying. After signing up trainers are required to wait 48 hours for a background check and admin approval. After approval trainers can start receive training request. After accepting a training session the GPS will take the trainer to the trainee, the trainer can start communicating with the trainee. After arriving the trainer will scan a QR code on the trainee app to confirm session has begin. Trainer will then follow a unique lesson plan thats timed to the success of the student. Whenever the lesson is completed the trainer is required to ensure that the student arrive at the initial pick up location safely. Trainer is required to give a review and verbally notify the student if pass or fail. Trainer can proceed to the next student after completing the current one. Trainer can set up their methods of receiving payment and cash out after completing the lesson. All trainers are required to pay a monthly subscription fee of 12.5usd dollars. Trainers get a base pay of 21us dollars per hour if they use their own vehicle for training and 13us dollars per hour if they use the Star Driver company vehicle. If trainers 5star ratings drop below 3stars then they be suspended for a month. Trainers a required to report all incidents and accidents to the admin team
